Andrew
Black
heads the Information Standards Management (ISM) group which is
part of the Information Office organization in the global
headquarters of NXP Semiconductors. The mission of ISM is to
support the total business process with unambiguous and
controlled information standards, as part of the enterprise
architecture, to enable optimal information and data sharing and
exchange among business functions and their information systems.
NXP is a newly independent semiconductor company (founded by
Philips) with a fifty-year history of providing engineers and
designers with semiconductors and software that deliver better
sensory experiences for mobile communications, consumer
electronics, security applications, contactless payment and
connectivity, and in-car entertainment and networking. Prior to
joining Philips Semiconductors (the predecessor of NXP), Andrew
worked for many years in the Data Management group at Philips
Electronics corporate headquarters.
During many years of representing Philips in EDIFICE Andrew has
contributed to various aspect of the work of EDIFICE. He has
been active in various roles, including Secretary, Vice-Chair,
Treasurer, and Chairman of the TSQ and Billing Task Groups.
