EDIFICE Portals & Marketplaces Survey - April 2003

Introduction :

The objectives of the EDIFICE Portals and Marketplaces Task Group (P&M) are:

� Promote Standardized Systems-to-Systems Information Exchange with Portals and Marketplaces and users of Portals and Marketplaces

� Provide Consultancy by describing and defining Business Processes and underlying Standards

� Creation of guidelines for automated integration

To more accurately align the P&M activities with what lives in the industry today, the group decided to conduct a survey amongst the EDIFICE membership.

The Objectives of this survey are:

getting a better view on which KEY Portals and/or Marketplaces and/or Extranets are being used in the industry
what are the business processes currently covered by Portals and/or Marketplaces and/or Extranets that are used by the members.
what are the issues and/or benefits related to the use of such business processes
is there an interest to automate those processes (in the case they are manual)?

Survey results will be published to the EDIFICE membership on the EDIFICE password protected web site.
A list of respondents will be added. The detailed replies will be anonymous.
