GXS—a global leader in B2B e-commerce and integration services—began a project to extend their Trading Grid platform for supply chain automation with value-add services built on third party cloud computing technologies.  Through their partnership with Microsoft, GXS is developing and enhancing a trading partnership analytics service called Trading Partner Analytics.  The solution serves a dual role of providing interesting new value to existing Trading Grid customers and allowing GXS to gain field experience with cloud technologies and business models in parallel.  Developed in conjunction with a Microsoft partner, the project also demonstrates the value of a robust partner community in providing scalable development resources on demand
