"Enterprise 2.0 based IT projects linking value chain partners offer great potential for flexible, loosely-coupled integration and ad-hoc information exchange. But, stakeholders’ readiness, willingness and ability to cooperate need to be considered and addressed mercilessly to successfully implement common strategies, systems and processes. To increase the probability to succeed in such projects and to enhance the intensity of cooperation and trust across the value chain transparency, communication and participation need to be addressed. By presenting an integrated project methodology, the authors bridge the gap between existing scientific models and requirements for cross-organizational Enterprise 2.0 projects. The proposed methodology integrates change management’s critical success factors and principles as well as methods applicable to Enterprise 2.0 projects. The contribution of the paper is to explain and reflect the performed methodology as well as activities and selected key results from two pilot projects and to match the results with critical success factors which were derived from literature.
